TREATMENT APPROACHES

EXPOSURE RESPONSE PREVENTION (ERP):
ERP is the gold-standard treatment for conditions like OCD, social anxiety, panic disorder, and phobias. Together, we’ll work to face the thoughts and situations that trigger your fear, without relying on avoidance or compulsive behaviors. In a safe and supportive space, you’ll practice sitting with discomfort instead of trying to eliminate it. Over time, this helps you learn that you can tolerate distress without rituals or mental acts, shifting your relationship with anxious thoughts so they no longer control you.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT):
If you’re struggling with depression or anxiety, CBT can help us explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. We’ll identify thinking patterns and beliefs that may be distorted or overly-negative, and examine how they affect your mood and daily life. We’ll practice challenging those thoughts in favor of more balanced, realistic ones—helping you make meaningful changes and develop healthier coping skills.

HABIT REVERSAL TRAINING (HRT):
HRT is a highly effective approach to managing compulsive behaviors like hair-pulling, skin-picking, nail-biting, or tics. We’ll begin by learning to recognize the early signs that a behavior is about to occur. From there, we’ll develop healthier, more manageable alternatives to respond to those urges—helping you reduce or even eliminate the behavior over time.

DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOR THERAPY (DBT):
This is the ideal treatment for clients who struggle with intense, overwhelming emotions. We'll work together to find a balance between accepting your emotions and adjusting the ways of thinking and behaving that are destructive and life-interfering. We’ll work on understanding and managing difficult feelings, building practical skills to handle emotional intensity, and reducing behaviors that may be holding you back. We’ll also focus on improving your relationships and cultivating mindfulness habits to help you feel more grounded and in control.
